WCPCC is backed by more than eighty (80) institutions and more than two hundred (200) National Consumer Action Council (Majlis Tindakan Pengguna Negara) branches to initiate its important role as SMEs and GIGs reference guideline and assist local governments in promoting legal constitution to protect the rights and interest of businesses.

WCPCC having worked with 54 countries through Worldwide Consumers Association (WCA) that gained experience in several countries which have well-developed economy and sound legal systems, and continually improving and promoting a firm consumers’ constitution and regulations, and actively built a harmonious, strong protective international consumers’ organization.
INTRODUCTION
Business and industrial sectors are principal sources of investment and drivers of economic growth and are rightfully the key players in ensuring consumer’s environment necessity is protected. World Consumers’ Protection Chamber of Commerce (WCPCC) presents this Bunga Raya Brand Award (BRBA) to give an opportunity for public recognition of business and industry’s accomplishment and leadership and serves to create awareness in the protection of business interest and consumer’ rights.
This award will assist enterprises in identifying areas for improvement in the management of this industry. Indirectly, these initiatives facilitate capacity building and partnership expansion to meet the needs and rights of consumers in this challenging business world.

AWARD'S FLOW
STAGE 1
ASSESSMENT OF SUBMISSION
The Stage 1 Questionnaire requires the company to provide information in several category areas. These areas are based on some key principles issued by the World Consumers’ Protection Chamber of Commerce (WCPCC)
The above cover a broad range of the safety, health, hygiene issue also about operation efficiency and innovation that companies should be addressing. Each heading is provided a numerical scare, which allows the TC to carry out the initial screening of applications and to select the companies that will proceed to Stage 2.
A company does not have to score highly in every section. The Questionnaire has been designed to be flexible so that weaknesses in some areas can be counterbalanced with strengths in other areas.

Evaluation of Company Background
Written Questionnaire and answered by Participating Company.
The responses are evaluated against a set of criteria down up by the TC.
STAGE 2
SITE ASSESSMENT OF SHORTLISTED PARTICIPANTS
The TC will assign members of the expert panel into small teams to visit the sites of each of those companies that meet the selection requirements of the Stage 1 Assessment. The site visit will be limited to at the most two days per site. The teams will consist of two or three assessors who will assess the accuracy of the written submission (provided at Stage 1) by walking through the site and interviewing relevant personal at random.
A confidential assessment report for each site visited will then be produced based on this site assessment. The report is an internal Bunga Raya Award document and will not be made available to the company or any third party.
Site Visit
To verify Stage 1 submission of the company’s background and a set of questionnaire to evaluate their performance and commitment.
Participant's Short-Listed
Required to provide additional product or services information if necessary (e.g. The Production Operation Flow, Product Quality and Safety Assurance Certificate especially in Food and Beverages or Halal Certificate and etc) for the site visit. A team of not less than two members will assess each site.
The Award will be run to the highest possible professional standard. All submissions to the award organisers and any additional information provided by applicant companies are treated in the strictest confidence and will not be seen by any third party. The Site management will be debriefed on the site assessment at the end of the site visit. All decisions will be taken by the AOC, after considering the findings and recommendations of the TC and assessors.
